My server backup keeps on asking for another tape - what should I do?

This sounds as though the server backup is too big for one tape.

There are a couple of things you can do to reduce the size you are backing up.

1. Remove files from the server that you no longer need.
2. Copy files that you want to keep but no longer need backing up regularly onto CD, USB or other storage device and them remove them from your server.
3. Ask your IT team to remove files that they know do not need backing up
4. Speak to your IT team and ask them for a different backup solution
